Former business school professor Gillian Rice grew up in England. Today, she lives in Phoenix where she volunteers at the Desert Botanical Garden (DBG). She achieved the DBG’s Certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration in 2010. Her work was selected for ASBA’s 17th Annual International (2014) and Botanical Art Worldwide – America’s Flora (2018-19) exhibitions. She has completed scientific illustrations for The University of Arizona Desert Legumes Program and her work is in The Sonoran Desert Florilegium. Gillian serves as Secretary on ASBA’s Board of Directors and is a contributor to ASBA’s journal, The Botanical Artist.
