About

Southwest Society of Botanical Artists (SWSBA) is a chapter of the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA).

As described by ASBA, the mission and vision of SWSBA is: “To provide a thriving, interactive community dedicated to perpetuating the tradition and contemporary practice of botanical art.” and “Botanical art will be considered a significant, relevant, and respected contributor to 21st century art, recognized for its unique power to educate, promote ecological awareness and enrich our lives.”

Membership

All SWSBA members must first be members of ASBA. Some of the benefits of ASBA and SWSBA membership are listed below. Membership in ASBA costs $95 per year, with SWSBA membership costing an additional $15. Joining SWSBA is done through the ASBA website, https://asba-art.org/membership.
