2019 was the 25, or Silver, Anniversary of the SouthWest Society of Botanical Artists’ (SWSBA) parent organization, the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA). In addition to encouraging local chapters to hold events celebrating the anniversary, ASBA announced plans for a Silver Anniversary Catalog of artwork with a silver theme. All plants depicted in the artwork were required to have a silver connection, either looking silver, having silver in the common or scientific name, or preferably both. All ASBA members were encouraged to submit their work to the catalog. Six members of SWSBA shared their silver themed work from the catalog, and their submissions are included here.
