On February 6, 2020 SWSBA member Melanie Campbell-Carter MD delivered a lecture at the Natural History Institute (NHI) in Prescott, Arizona titled “Passion, Devotion, Intimacy: Art and Natural History”. The lecture focused on Alexander von Humboldt, the 19th century naturalist, geographer, explorer and artist. She also discussed some of the art in the SWSBA exhibit that was simultaneously on display at the NHI, and their backstories. The full lecture is available on YouTube.
